Abstract

PURPOSE:To make more suitable for a magnetic path forming member by employing magnetic powder of short fiber state, and orienting by a pressure molding composite powder with the magnetic powder and resin in a plane substantially perpendicular to the pressurizing direction, thereby improving the magnetic characteristics. CONSTITUTION:When magnetic powder of short fiber state is employed and composite powder of the magnetic powder and thermosetting resin is pressed (pressure molded) in a prescribed mold, such short fibrous product is naturally oriented in a direction perpendicular to the pressing direcion, and the longitudinal orientation of the fiber is selectively accelerated in a plane substantially perpendicular to the pressing direction. Then, the orienting direction of the fiber becomes the direction of easy magnetization which is used as a direction of a magnetic path, thereby effectively improving the magnetic characteristics. Further, the weight of the magnetic path forming member can be reduced as the secondary effect.
