CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element 4, e.g. ceramic ultrasonic vibrating element, is applied or embedded by an adhesive or adhesive tape in the vicinity of a ring fange 3 of a ring 2 used in engagement with a ring rail 1 of a fine spinning frame or twister. When a traveler 5 is made to slide or glide on the ring flange 3 by a spun yarn 9, the vibration is caused in the ring flange 3, and the piezoelectric element 4 gives electrical signal according to the vibration. The signals are sensed to sense the abnormality in the traveler 5.
