Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of a tape running mechanism by making the adjustment so that a lower tape edge comes into contact with a lower flange and a cylinder lead and by running the lower tape end parallel with the cylinder lead. CONSTITUTION:On a chassis 1 having the reference surface of a tape run system, an entry-side guide roller base 2 is so fitted slanting to right at theta and forth at alpha that it can slide forth and back. On the entry-side guide roller base 2, an entry-side slanting pin 4, a guide-roller lower flange 6, a guide roller 7, and a guide-roller upper flange 8 are fitted respectively. The exit side has nearly the same structure with the entry side. Further, an upper cylinder 9 equipped with a rotary head and a cylinder lead 16 regulating the position of a tape 5 are provided. For recording and reproduction, when the tape is run with only the entry-side guide roller lower flange 6 in contact with the lower tape edge, the tape is run stably parallel with the cylinder lead 16. This constitution facilitates the adjustment of a tape running mechanism.
