Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically operate handling work of paper, in a paper handling device for performing page turning over operation or the like in a book, by constituting the device in such a manner that an attractor is separately located in a prescribed distance from a surface of paper, and is adjusted attractive force and the distance from the surface of paper. CONSTITUTION:An attractor 2 is set to a position X from a surface of paper 1 by a position detector 7, and made to approach to the surface of the paper 1 while performing attraction of the attractor 2 by a controller, not shown in the drawing. When the attractor 2 approaches a certain distance to the surface of the paper 1, a sheet of the uppermost paper can be attracted. In this way, a change of pressure in a hollow body 3 is casued, detected by a pressure detector 6 and input to the controller, not shown in the drawing. Thus the attractor 2 is released from further descending and shifted to remove the paper 1. In this constitution, the attractor 2 always performs attraction at a distance apart from the surface of the paper 1, and attraction of plural sheets can be prevented and automation of handling work has thus become possible.
