Abstract
PURPOSE: To exhibit effects, e.g. promotion growth, improvement of a feed efficiency, retention of health of fish, etc., by incorporating saccharide ester of a fatty acid in a feed for the fish farming.
CONSTITUTION: A saccharide ester of a fatty acid, e.g. a monosaccharide or oligosaccharide ester of a 6W24C fatty acid, is incorporated in a feed for fish farming. Preferably, a monoester, diester or triester is used, and sucrose ester of the fatty acid is particularly suitable. The amount of the saccharide ester of the fatty acid is usually about 0.001W20wt%, preferably 0.01W10wt%, more preferably 0.05W5wt% based on the ordinary feed for the fish farming. The resultant feed for the fish farming promotes the digestive absorption of fat, various nutriments e.g. fats or proteins, in the feed by the action of the saccharide ester of the fatty acid, and exhibits the effect on growth promotion of the fish and the improvement in the feed efficiency.
