Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure reflected rays directing to the direction of a driver and to improve visibility by forming a reflector in a transparent film, and mounting this to a curved transparent body. CONSTITUTION:A reflector is so formed that its cross sectioned area assumes right-angled total reflection prisms 1 to give recurrent characteristic in a transverse direction to reflected rays. The longitudinal section thereof is slightly curved to an outer side 2 or an inner side 3 or is bent to a resembling polygonal shape, so that the reflected rays exist always in the driver's direction. It is possible to provide an effective reflection signal by incorporating such reflector into road signs, triangular stop plates, and the tail lights of vehicles.
