PURPOSE:To decrease the number of characters to be corrected and to reduce the writing load of characters, by registering previously an optional indicated data to a device and decreasing the number of written characters when the data is written. CONSTITUTION:In the registering mode, the read result of the data on a register slip 8 is stored in an input data buffer 9. The data fed from the buffer 9 is checked by a detecting circuit 11. Then a register buffer flip-flop 12 is turned on when a control mark exists, and the register data is set to a register buffer 13. In the reading mode, the data is fed to an input data buffer 15 when a slip 14 to which the data is written is read. The data in the buffer 13 is read out when a control signal is detected by a control mark detecting ciruit 16. Then the data is edited through an editing circuit 18 and delivered to an output buffer 19.
