Abstract

PURPOSE:To abbreviate the channel switching, by eliminating the voice in calling when a mobile station receives a channel switch command signal in a busy mode, eliminating the noise caused by a control signal and then receiving the synchronizing signal mutually between the mobile station and the base station to open again the channel. CONSTITUTION:When a mobile station moves in a busy mode and the S/N of a using channel lowers, a base transmitter/receiver 6 detects the drop of the S/N and transmits it to a switchboard 7 via a signal control line 11. The switchboard 7 sets a new channel number, and a tone signal of a low frequency is transmitted for a prescribed period on a control line 10 and through a tone transmitter/ receiver 21 of the transmitter/receiver 6. A tone transmitter/receiver circuit 20 detects the transmission of the tone signal via a transmitter/receiver 5 of the mobile station. Then a speech transmission/reception control circuit 2 is started to cut off a receiving circuit to a handset 1. Then a channel switch signal is transmitted from the switchboard 7 and received at the mobile station. Thus a new channel is selected. In this case, a synchronizing signal is mutually transmitted and received, and then the receiving circuit is connected to the hand set 1 of the mobile station to allow a call.
