Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sensor excellent in stability, by substituting a part of Co of a B site of LnCoO3 and a part of Ln of an A site by a prescribed element and making its electrode as an alloy electrode of a prescribed element. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensitive body is made of compounds wherein a part of Co of a B site of LnCoO3 (Ln is the first rare earth elements from La to Nd) is substituted by at least one kind of elements selected from Fe, Mn and Ti and a part of Ln of an A sit by at least one kind of elements selected from Ca, Sr and Ba. An electrode is made by embedding a lead wire made of an alloy of Pd or Pt and Ag or Cu in this gas sensitive body at the time of forming the gas sensitive body. By using such an alloy electrode, the difference in the coefficient of linear expansion is made small and a sensor having excellent stability is obtained.
