Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the separating capacity of a column relatively by a method wherein a packing agent is classified and this classified packing agent is packed in the order of a particle size to use the packing agent efficiently in good yield.
CONSTITUTION: A packing agent with a particle size of about 100W1,000μ having a particulate or a spherical shape and a wide range of particle size distribution and comprising silica gel, synthetic zeolite, activated carbon, activated alumina, an ion exchange resin or polystyrene is preliminarily classified into a particle size distribution width of every definite width, pref., a distribution width within 10% or less to an average particle size. A particle size distribution layer of which the average particle size Xi is in an objective range is filled in close vicinity to each other, further pref., succeedingly packed from a min particle size toward a flow direction. It is possible to reduce a particle distribution condition in a continuous layer within a packed column to a range making a classifying width min or to the range of a precise degree of a classifying method obtaning a continuous particle size and the packed layer having substantially uniform particle size distribution can be constituted and separating capacity is enhanced.
