Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a glossing agent for tin and lead-tin alloy plating, which is capable of giving sufficient gloss by a small quantity, by constituting it so that an aromatic nitro compound is its effective component, and adding an organic carbonyl compound as an auxiliary agent.
CONSTITUTION: The effective component of this glossing agent for tin and lead- tin alloy plating is a mixture of ≥1 kind of an aromatic compound such as nitrobenzene, etc. shown by a general formula : X-NO2 (X: aromatic residual radical, aromatic derivative residual radical). In addition, an organic carbonyl compound such as benzilidene acetone, etc. is used as a glossing auxiliary agent as necessary. This aromatic nitro compound is usually used for a plating bath by 0.1W1g/l. Also, as for the glossing auxiliary agent, the quantity of ≤3.0g/ l or so is added to the plating bath. When tin or lead-tin alloy plating is performed by use of this glossing agent, sufficient gloss can be displayed by a small quantity, and excellent electric apparatus parts, etc. are obtained.
