CONSTITUTION:A vapor-deposited Al layer and a photosensitive layer are formed in order on a base film to obtain an image forming material capable of forming an image by development with an aqueous alkali soln. At this time, the photosensitive layer is made of photosensitive resin consisting essentially of 40-60wt% copolymer of vinyltoluene and monoester of unsatd. dibasic acid such as monobutyl maleate, 60-10wt% ethylenic unsatd. compound contg. a methylol group such as pentaerythritol triacrylate and 1-20wt% photopolymn. initiator such as benzyldimethylketal or further contg. a dye, a pigment, a thermal polymn. inhibitor, a chain transfer agent, etc. This image forming material gives a film with high density and gradation applicable to plate making.
