Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce duplicating time, by running a recorded tape on one of two tape running systems and a nonrecording tape on the other, driving the two tape running systems in a speed several times that at recording of the recorded tape, and recording tape signals on the nonrecording tape. CONSTITUTION:Rotary heads 32-35 are fitted to head driving elements 36-39 in an angle of 90 deg. on a reproducing cylinder 31 to reproduce a master tape, the tape is wound around the semicircumference of the reproduced cylinder and is run in a tape speed twice the recorded speed and a video signal is reproduced with the four rotating heads 32-35. The output of the rotary heads 32 and 34 is amplified at reproducing amplifiers 40 and 41 and mixed at 42 and given to a recording amplifier 43 and the output of the rotary heads 33 and 35 is given to a recording amplifier 47. A recording cylinder 48 of a slave tape has the same construction as that of the cylinder 31 of the master tape and driven with the same speed, and the video signal is given from the recording amplifiers 43 and 47 to rotary heads 49-52.
