Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrain unnecessary vibrations and reduce the converging time thereof, by applying a driving force in the direction opposite to that of the unnecessary vibrations to the rotor of a pulse motor which generates unnecessary vibrations when it is not operated. CONSTITUTION:In a 4-phase pulse motor driven by the 2-2 phase excitation, if a rotor 2 is DC-locked by means of the excitation of excitation phases, e.g., D and A when the motor is at rest, unnecessary vibrations are generated in the rotor 2. A driving circuit 6 drives the rotor 1 through a distributor 8 according to the ditection result by means of a detector 5 which detects the vibration direction of the rotor 2. In other words, said driving circuit 6 alternately excites nonexcited phases B and C arranged in the direction opposite to the moving direction of the rotor 2 in order to apply to the rotor 2 a driving force in the direction opposite to the vibrating direction thereof. As a result, unnecessary vibrations are restrained and converged in a short period of time.
