Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance adhesive property in vacuum and provide a function of protection against moisture, by matting a protective layer on a heat-sensitive recording layer. CONSTITUTION:To produce a matted layer, a copolymer of a monomer having a styrene skeleton with a monomer having an acrylic acid skeleton, or a copolymer of a monomer having a styrene skeleton with butadiene or a mixture of the two polymers is mixed with polystyrene in a predetermined weight ratio. The mixture thus obtained is dissolved in a mixed solvent prepared by mixing at least one good solvent of the copolymer and polystyrene with at least one solvent which is a poor solvent of polystyrene, and the resultant solution is coated directly or indirectly on the heat-sensitive recording layer, followed by evaporating off the solvent to obtain the matted layer.
