Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording medium which has good writing quality and sealability and is free from degradation in electrostatic chargeability and image density in high humidity environments by providing a dielectric layer contg. a specific amt. of zinc peroxide together with an insulation characteristic resin on conductive backing. CONSTITUTION:In an electrostatic recording medium wherein a dielectric layer is provided on conductive backing (e.g.; paper or the like is treated with an electron conductive material such as conductive titanium oxide or metallic powder or an ion conductive material such as polystyrene ammonium sulfonate or the like whereby it is given conductivity), the dielectric layer is formed by contg. 0.1-1.2pts.wt. zinc peroxide in 1pt.wt. an insulation characteristic resin (e.g.; polyester resin, PVC, etc.). The electrostatic recording medium which is superior in writing quality and sealability, is free from degradation in electrostatic chargeability and image density in high humidity environments and is free from pit drop-out during recording is obtained.
