Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the treatment stability of a fixer by treating a photosensitive material in the fixer wherein a metallic compd. that can form a stable org. acid metallic chelate complex by metallic nuclear exchange reaction with an org. acid chelate complex is allowed to exist. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photographic material is treated in a fixer wherein a metallic compd. that can form a stable org. acid metallic chelate complex by metallic nuclear exchange reaction with an org. acid chelate complex. is allowed to exist. The org. acid silver chelate complex is the org. acid of amino polycarboxylic acid or polycarboxylic acid of oxalic acid, citric acid or the like of the constrcution that oxidizes the metallic silver formed by development to silver halide and colors the uncolored part of the coupler wherein iron and metallic ions are coordinated. There are nickel compds., zinc compds., etc. for the metallic compd. which causes metallic nuclear exchange reaction with the org. acid chelate complex.
