Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize safe traveling of cars, by storing previously a road map and the features of the roads, etc. into a computer mounted on a car, etc. and collating these data with the results of detection obtained from the gauges or sensors attached to the car to display the traveling information. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-ray tube, a fluorescent display panel, the liquid crystal, a speaker, etc. plus a storage device and an input device of a keyboard are connected to a computer mounted on a car, etc. In addition, a distance meter, a tachometer, a revolution meter, a timepiece, a detector for turning direction and rotational frequency of a handle, a compas, a gyroscope, an altimeter, a level, a vibration detector, a microphone, a thermometer, a photometer, a reflection factor meter of light, a radar, a TV camera, and other various sensors are connected to the computer. A road map, the features of roads, etc. are stored previously into the computer. Then the results of detection of the above- mentioned gauges and sensors are analyzed by the computer and collated with the stored information for the decision. The information necessary for the traveling is displayed on a display device. In addition, the transmitting sources, the magnets, etc. of electromagnetic waves and sound waves are set at the side of the road for the detection of the sensors on a car.
