Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled filler, prepared by incorporating a by-product slaked lime formed by generating acetylene with a mixed powder of dry unburned portland cement with a low moisture content having a specific hydraulic modulus, etc., and capable of improving the abrasion resistance of an asphalt composition.
CONSTITUTION: A filler prepared by incorporating a mixed powder of a dry unburned portland cement with a low moisture content, preferably ≤0.1wt%, having a hydraulic modulus (CaO/SiO2+Al2O3+Fe2O3) of 1.7W3.2, an iron modulus (Al2O3/Fe2O3) of 0.7W2.0, an activity index (SiO2/Al2O3) of 2.5W8.0, a fineness of 2,000W7,000cm2/g expressed in terms or the specific surface area measured by the Blaine method with 50wt% or less by-product slaked lime, generated from a dry acetylene generator, and having a low moisture content (preferably ≤30wt%). The resultant mixture as a filler in an amount of 3W15wt% improves the abrasion resistance compared with the addition of the conventional limestone, and reduces the amount of asphalt to be added by about 30%. The preventing effect on peeling is also obtained.
