Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid excessively operation force at depression of an accelerator, in a connecting link forming the captioned opening and closing mechanism, by providing a stopper mechanism limiting the fully opening position of a throttle valve to a relay lever. CONSTITUTION:A throttle valve opening and closing lever 3 and a relay lever 11, connected to an accelerator, are coupled through cam grooves 3a, 3b and a roller 7. Here a protruding part 15 is partially provided to the relay lever 11, and an opening angle of a throttle valve is limited at full opening of the accelerator by adapting said protruding part 15 to a stopper 14 fixed to a throttle valve main unit 1. In this way, excessive force, generated by a foot of the driver at full opening of the accelerator, is never directly applied to the throttle valve opening and closing lever 3, roller 7 and cam surface 3a, and the throttle valve can be prevented from damage due to deformation, wear, etc. of an opening and closing mechanism.
