Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size, thickness and weight of a radiator, by embedding a fan driving motor in the central or peripheral part of the radiator body. CONSTITUTION:A radiator 1 for a vehicle comprises a radiator body 2, a fan driving motor 3 and a cooling fan 4. A support frame 7 is secured on the central part of the radiator body 2 so that the outside-diameter part of the support frame 7 is located on one side of the radiator body 2. The motor 3 for rotating the cooling fan 4 is fitted in the central part of the support frame 7 and fixed thereon by bolts 8. The cooling fan 4 is fixed on the rotary shaft 3a of the fan driving motor 3 by a nut 9.
