Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the response when a booster piston is operated by allowing the stopper of a plunger to be lock with a fixed stopper on the shell and bringing a control valve in pressurized contact with the appropriate valve seat when the booster is not operated, in the booster for increasing the pedal stepping-in force of a car. CONSTITUTION:When pedal stopping-in is released and an input shaft 31 is returned, the second valve seat 37 is closed at first, and a control valve 39 is departed from the first valve seat 36, being pushed by the plunger 33 which returns to the right. The front and back pressure chambers 23 and 24 communicate with each other in this state, and the internal pressure in each pressure chamber accords with, then a booster piston 27 is pushed back in the direction opposite to the direction during operation by the recovery force of a spring 30 which is compressed during operation. A movable stopper 44 is lock with a fixed stopper 45 at this time, and only a valve body 26 moves rightward further after the plunger 33 stops, and the first valve seat 36 is abutted to the control valve 39. The advancing force of the piston due to the differential pressure between pressure chambers 23 and 24 and the recovery force of the spring 30 are balanced when the first and the second valve seats 36 and 37 are closed, then the booster piston 29 which follows the input shaft 31 stops.
