Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain optimum ride and stability of maneuverability irrespective of travelling conditions by controlling frictional force acting on a spring plate according to the travelling condition of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A laminated spring plate device 1 constituting a suspension system is constituted from a plurality of spring plates 2 laminated thicknesswise and a gfastening member 3 for fastening the central portion of the spring plate 2. Both ends of said device 1 are supported on a member 5 by a clamp mechanism 4, and the spring plate fastening force of the clamp mechanism 4 is controlled by a cylinder 10 having pressure fluid controlled by a control unit 20. Thus, dynamic spring constant of the spring plate is controlled to provide a good ride and maintain a satisfactory stability of maneuverability.
