Abstract

As for a picture signal including a character train, the part of character train is cut out at (3), a number or a symbol to identify each character train is given (8), an edited character train is formed by making the replacement of the order for an arbitrary part to the cut-out character train, deletion and addition of other character trains (5), and output (6) is made at a designated location.
