CONSTITUTION:An artificial satellite 5 or the like as a material to be measured wich is supported on a gimbals 4 is rotated in the atmosphere of no magnetic field through a shaft 7 connected to the gimbals 4, and a voltage corresponding to generated rotation speed and magnetic moment is measured by a measuring circuit 14. In this case, a noise erasing coil 20 is provided in the center of the gimbals 4 as one body together with the gimbals 4, and a current obtained by adjusting the phase level of a sine wave of one period is supplied to the coil 20 each time the artificial satellite 5 is rotated once synchronously with the rotation of a shaft 7 through a controlling circuit 13 to which rotation information or the like of a motor 8 for turning the shaft 7 is applied, and the magnetic field is so changed that the noise generated by a soft magnetic material included in the gimbals 4 and the shaft 7 is erased. Consequently, a high-precision magnetic moment test is performed with a high S/N.
