Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable various ways of exposure to be performed with the same emission tube of one exposure device by changing the actual shape and position of an exposure light-source while lighting the said emission tube by making the opening of a shielding plate facing an exposed surface variable. CONSTITUTION:In an exposure device, an opening 17 shows approximately the shape of a dot-like light-source as indicated by 10A when seen from (xu) direction, and shows the shape of a long light-source as indicated by 10B when seen from (xd) direction. As the result, after a fluorescent screen of a dot type is exposed by installing a light source 10 so that the dot-like light-source part 10A faces to the inner wall of a panel, a fluorescent screen of a stripe type can be exposed by making the long light-source part 10B to face to the inner wall of the panel by rotating the light source 10 about its axis (Y) at 180 degrees by giving a signal from outside the light source 10. Here, by locating two panels so that they correspond to the dot-like light-source part 10A and the long light- source part 10B of the light source 10, exposure of two different types of fluorescent screens can be carried out simultaneously by use of the light source 10.
