Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability in measurement by sensing the reflected light from the reflecting surface of a weight supported by an object to be measured via elastic bodies. CONSTITUTION:Light is guided to a vibrating sensor fixed to the object to be measured via an optical fiber and inputted to the self reflecting surfaces 4a and 4b of the weight 4 supported by springs 3a and 3b, via a half mirror 8 and a mirror 9. The reflected light is inputted to optical fibers 12a and 12b via rod lenses 10a and 11a. When the weight 4 receives the vibration in the X direction to which, e.g., the spring 3b is expanded and contracted, the amount of light incident to the optical fiber 12a varies in response to the vibration period. Likewise, the amount of the incident light to the optical fiber 12b changes with the vibration of the expanding and contracting (Y) direction of the spring 3a. With respect to the vibration in the arbitrary direction, the amount of the incident light to the optical fibers 12a and 12b varies with the vibration components in the X and Y directions. Since the external electromagnetic effects are not affected, the reliability in measurement can be enhanced.
