PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of valve seats and seal plates of a valve plate by coupling an electromagnet to a valve plate as one body and also by providing a seal plate to each face of a valve plate, facing the inlet or outlet port of the valve, in such a manner that the seal plates can be moved in the direction of the fluid flow. CONSTITUTION:When a coil of an electromagnet 11 is electrified to positive while a valve plate 6 moves vertically, seal plates 10a and 10b attached to the valve plate 6 move outward on account of attractive force by the electromagnet 11 in order to be housed in recessed parts 6a and 6b of the valve plate 6. And gaps between valve seats, 3a and 3b, and the seal plates, 10a and 10b, become large. Accordingly, the speed of slurry, for example, passing through each gap is lowered. It prevents fine solid bodies from being caught in the gap between the valve seats, 3a and 3b, and the seal plates, 10a and 10b, and reduces the wear of the said valve seats and seal plates.
