Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a clutch from slipping, by using a spring to energize the power piston of a hydraulic booster toward a withdrawal lever so that no clearance is made betweeh the clutch and the power piston. CONSTITUTION:A lid 71 is mounted in the entrance part of the piston hole 42a of a booster body 42. A seal 72 is provided between the lid 71 and the piston hole 42a so that the seal and the lid are tightened as to the piston hole. Another seal 73 is provided between the lid 71 and a push rod 68 extending through the lid, so that they are sealed up. Since a power piston which slides in the booster body 42 is always energized by a spring in such a direction as to operate a withdrawal lever 31 by low force, no clearance is made between the operating lines of a clutch and the power piston. As aresult, the position of a clutch disc is shifted depending on its wear and the clutch is prevented from slipping.
