Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a prepreg sheet which does not include bubbles in it, by laminating liquid resin to one surface of a parting sheet, whose both surface have separability from the prepreg sheet, putting a fibrous base upon the laminate, and then pressing the laminate with a roll having a comblike peripheral surface.

CONSTITUTION: One surface of a parting sheet (e.g. polyethylene sheet), whose both surfaces have separability from a prepreg sheet, is coated with a proper amount of liquid resin (e.g. unsaturated polyester resin), and a fibrous base (e.g. glass-chopped strand mat) is lapped onto the resin-laminated surface. Thereafter, the sheet, to be impregnated, is directly pressed from its upside by a roll 15 having a comblike peripheral surface, to impregnate and defoam the sheet, and let run through a space between a comblike impregnating roll 17, which moves back and forth with respect to the movement of the sheet, and a bed. The sheet is then wound up under the condition that it is pressed from the surface of the parting material by a nip roll. In this way, the prepreg sheet is obtained.
