Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a composition having improved environmental stress cracking resistance and thermal stability, by compounding a phosphorous acid ester to a mixture of a rubber-modified thermoplastic resin and a polymer of a fatty acid vinyl ester.
CONSTITUTION: The objective resin composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a resin obtained by mixing (i) a graft copolymer obtained by the copolymerization of a diene rubber polymer with an aromatic vinyl monomer and an acrylic monomer and (ii) a copolymer of an olefin monomer and a fatty acid vinyl ester monomer, and if necessary a vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith, with (B) 0.01W10pts., preferably 0.01W5pts. of a phosphorous acid ester having substituent groups at least one of which is alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc. having one or less double bond per 5 carbon atoms and optionally substituted with halogen, hydroxyl, amino, etc. at the hydrogen atom of the substituent groups.
