Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a cassette loading type recorder widely available to use many and unspecified cassettes and as well to give a flexibility to the location area thereof by providing a supporting frame loaded with a plurality of cassettes which are movably arranged therein, on the front of the loading slot of the recorder. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 12 is loaded on each rack 111 in a cassette supporting frame 11 in a cassette replacing device 10. The cassette replacing device 10 is aligned with the aligning position of a recorder B0 by means of carrier wheels 101. The cassettes 12 are moved along rails 13 by a vertically driving mechanism 14 so that one cassette 12 to be used is aligned with a loading slot B1. Then, the cassette 12 is inserted into the loading slot B1. In this stage, the recorder B0 is set to accomodate with the size of recording sheets, sicne a detector 15 detects a sheet size code mark 16 provided on the lateral part of the cassette 12. With this arrangement, it is suitable to use many and unspecified recording sheets and the flexibility to the location area of the recorder may be improved.
