Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly, by cutting a rod wire consisting of metallic materials to a prescribed length to form a shaft and molding either of rings which are brought into contact with outside faces of the most significant digit and the least significant digit of character wheels, as one body. CONSTITUTION:A metallic shaft 11 is provided across a frame 10, and plural character wheels 12 are inserted through the shaft 11 turnably. Pinion gears 13 are interposed between respective character wheels 12, and the rotation of a vehicle is transmitted to the character wheel 12 of the least significant digit through a character gear 14, and pinion gears 13 are turned at every one pitch by biting during every one rotation of the character wheel 12 of the least significant digit to rotate the character wheel 12 of the next digit, thus rotating character wheels 12 successively from the lower digit to the higher digit. A rod wire consisting of metallic materials is cut to a prescribed length to mold a ring 15, which is brought into contact with either of outside faces of the most significant digit and the least significant digit of character wheels 12 and controls it, as one body by the press-forming work or the like. A certain clearance is provided in the other side of the shaft 11 so that each character wheel 12 is turned smoothly, and a fixed ring 15A is mounted.
