Abstract

PURPOSE:To rationalize the business, by allowing a customer to perform the transfer operation as follows; he inputs Kana (Japanese syllabary) characters and numbers by depression while watching the display on an inductive screen and inputs hand-written data as required and collates his card in a reading part to confirm the balance. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment (a) is connected to a central control device (b) and an intra-shop response device (c). By the control of a terminal control part a1, Kana characters, numbers, a bank name, etc. required for the exchange transaction are called from a storage part a4 and are displayed on a display device a6. A customer operates an input means a8 brought into contact with the display screen to input data. Special characters which do not exist on the display device a6 are hand-written and are inputted through a hand-writing input part a14. These data are transmitted together with data of a card, which is inserted to a reading part a12, to the central control device (b) through a line 30 and are collated with contents of storage parts 6 and 10, and data of the hand-written input is processed in the intra-shop response device (c) by the clerk in the shop. When the input is correct and the balance in the account of the customer is sufficient, the amount of money of transfer and charge are returned to a memory part a3 of the terminal equipment (a) and are printed in a printing part a22, and the slip is given to the costomer. The central control device (b) composes a telegram of the exchange format from data of a memory part b4 and transmits it to all bank exchange networks.
