Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with the necessity of fine accuracy in working and suppress noise and vibration so as to have the service life prolonged, by forming a screw wheel engaged with a roller rack with a cylindrical coil spring and maintaining the contact with all of the engagement rollers by applying a preliminary compression to the coil spring. CONSTITUTION:A roller rack 1 is installed with its seat part 2 fixed on the fixation part, and a train of rollers 3 are supported rotatably by ball bearings 4 and 5. The roller 3 is equipped with the engaging collar part 7 at the top edge. The male body of a screw wheel 8 is formed with a flat-angle shape cutting machine wound in the form of a coil spring 9, and a male screw groove 10 is formed with the interval of screw. The edge parts of the coil spring 9 are fixed to the edge part bosses 12 and 13 fitted on a rotary shaft 11, by use of flush bolts 14 etc. A male cylinder 19 is moved back and forth foward the edge part boss 13 by revolving a female cylinder 21, and a preliminary compression is applied to the cylindrical coil spring 9 between the fixed edge part boss 12 and the edge part boss 13 which moves in the direction of the shaft line.
