Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate evil effect of the heat generated locally and the dust to a magnetic disk, by setting a driving motor if a rocking member for access of the magnetic head at the outside of a container of the magnetic disk and then sealing the driving shaft by means of a magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:The rocking shaft 12 of a rocking arm 11 of a rotary member for access of a magnetic head and piercing through a basement 14 of a container that stores hermetically a magnetic disk, etc. is sealed by means of a magnetic fluid. The shaft 12 is driven via a driving motor 18 which is provided outside the container set outside the basement 14. Thus the heat which is locally generated by the motor 18 is not transmitted into the container. As a result, the evil effect due to the heat caused locally, the dust, etc. can be assuredly prevented for the magnetic disk.
