Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction due to fluctuation of temperature or the operation of an additional mechanism, and to detect the life of a battery securely by performing the annunciation of the battery life when the battery voltage drops below a prescribed level contrinuously beyond the specified time. CONSTITUTION:The output of a quartz oscillator Q is supplied through a frequency divider D to a driving circuit DR and hands are driven by a motor M to perform time display. When a battery voltage drops below a predetermined level, the output of a detecting circuit a is inverted to 0 and a clocking circuit CT and an annunciator L are released from being reset. Then, the clocking circuit CT starts clocking and when a preset certain time elapses, the clocking circuit CT generates an output to set a flip-flop circuit F. Consequently, the annunciator L operates to annunciate the battery life.
