Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a microcapsule having good mechanical strength and retention of a volatile substance, by adding an org. gelling agent to a liquid substance to be miceoencapsulated to convert the same to a solid gel. CONSTITUTION:To a substance to be microencapsulated, which is liquid in a predetermined temp. range, 0.05-25wt% org. gelling agent such as benzylidenesorbitol is added to convert said liquid substance to a solid gel to obtain a microcapsule. The obtained micocapsule has increased physical strength against shearing force or pressure and, in the microcapsule containing a volatile substance such as a perfume or a solvent, retention of said substance is good.
