Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily assemble an antenna by gas injection for a short period in space by connecting a flexible reflector with a gas injecting device through a strut. CONSTITUTION:A reflector 1 has a reflecting surface obtained by adhering a conductive layer to one side of an insulating sheet composed of flexible resin and is completely folded before extending it widely in space. A strut 2 is composed of plural pipes, which form flexible structure as a whole. Gas injection from a gas injecting device 3 starts the extension of the reflector 1. At that time, the tensile force generated in the reflector 1 makes the strut 2 extend and the extended status is maintained thereafter. Even if gas is not projected, the reflector 1 holds its strained status by the extension of the strut 2 and maintains its function as a reflector.
