Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition, prepared by incorporating a silicone varnish and a curing catalyst with a polyether containing terminal crosslinkable hydrolyzable silicone functional groups, having improved adhesive property, surface tack and curing characteristics, and useful as elastic sealing materials.
CONSTITUTION: A composition prepared by kneading 100pts.wt. silicone-modified polyether polymer, having terminal crosslinkable hydrolyzable silicone functional groups expressed by formulaI[Z is R (1W20C bifunctional hydrocarbon), R-O-R or formulas IIWIV; R2 is H or 1W20C organic group; R3 is 1W20C organic group or organosiloxy; R4 is 1W20C monofunctional hydrocarbon; a is 0 or 1; b is 0, 1 or 2; c is 0, 1 or 2; m is an integer 0W18; X is halogen, alkoxyl, alkenyloxy, etc.] and the main chain containing units substantially expressed by the formula R1-O (R1 is 1W4C bifunctional alkylene group) with 0.01W20pts. wt. silicone varnish and 0W10pts.wt. curing catalyst substantially in the absence of water.
