Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable sorting to be carried out under simple control by providing sorter trays in a rotary arragement so that the trays are rotated by a step motor in accordance with the number of pins from operator's instructions or in accordance with CPM data. CONSTITUTION:Sorter trays 11 in a rotary arrangement are rotated synchronously with a copy discharged form a copying machine or like. Further, the opening part of each tray 11 is closed when the enterance of the copy into the tray 11 is detected. Then, the sorter trays 11 are rotated after the completion of sorting until the associated sorter tray 11 comes to its predeteremined discharge port. The tray is opened when it is in its predetermined position, thereby the copy is discharged into another tray 15.
