PURPOSE:To eliminate adverse effects due to piling of steel fibers as before and improve the cutter performance by providing gap sections corresponding to individual chip projections on both sides of individual disk-like cutter bodies. CONSTITUTION:A multitude of grooves 6 are provided on the outer circumference of a cutter body 5, and plate-like chips 8 are clamped there through seats 7 by means of wedge pieces 9 and screws 10 fixing them to the cutter body 5 so that adequate angle of torsion alpha and negative radial rake beta are applied and both sides of the chips 8 are somewhat protruded beyond the cutter width W. In addition, gap sections 11 housing one side projections of the chips 8 when they are laminated are provided on one side of the cutter body 5, and slant gap sections 13 with an inclination angle corresponding to the crest 12 of other projections are provided on the other side. Accordingly, adverse effects due to piling of steel fibers can be eliminated because no space is generated between individual disk-like cutters.
