Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve productivity and the resolution, by eliminating the need for the alignment between a color filter and an image pickup device, through the repetitive location of three or more kinds of stripe color filters horizontally with a slope. CONSTITUTION:Three or more kinds of stripe color filters which transmit different colored lights, e.g., R, G and Cy filters 401 403 are repetitively located toward the horizontal direction with a slope to the vertical direction and the image of an objective is formed on a solid-state image pickup element via the color filters. Further, for example, the slope of the stripe filters is taken that the space phase of a tilted stripe filters to the 1st horizontal video element train nH on the pickup element and that to the 2nd horizontal element train (n+1) H can be different from 90 deg., and the repetitive pitch toward the horizontal direction of the color filters can be taken as twice the horizontal pitch of the picture element on the image pickup element.
