Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning action, by enclosing materials in sponge balls that are allowed to flow together with a heat transfer fluid in a heat transfer passage, the specific gravities of said materials being different from that of the heat transfer fluid. CONSTITUTION:The sponge balls 6 whose specific gravity is lower than that of the fluid and the sponge balls 7 whose specific gravity is higher than that of the fluid are allowed to flow together with the fluid in the passage defined by the upper and lower surfaces 4, 5 of the heat exchange walls having a rectangular shape in cross section. Then the sponge balls 6 flow in contact with the upper heat transfer surface 4 whereas the sponge balls 7 flow in contact with the lower heat transfer surface 5 so that both the balls remove effectively the soil 3.
