Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A hood 2, collecting gas which contains powdered or granular aluminum bodies generated from an aluminum melting furnace 1, is connected to a bag filter 4a type solid-gas separating device 4 through a duct 3. A feeding device 8 for supplying incombustible powdered and granular bodies consisting of calcium carbonate, fire extinguisher, slaked lime, and lime stone, etc., is connected onto the upstream side of the bag filter 4a. In this way, said aluminum bodies are separated from each other by means of said incombustible bodies, and then the contact between the aluminum bodies with each other and temperature rise are restricted together by covering them with the incombustible bodies. Thus, the self-burning of the aluminum bodies is prevented.
