PURPOSE:To make a steering wheel function sharp at a low speed by constituting a knuckle arm so that its arm length can be controlled by the oil pressure in response to car speeds. CONSTITUTION:A knuckle arm 9 is constituted with a cylinder 26 and a piston 15, and both upper and lower chambers 10 are connected to an oil pressure source 10 and a tank 11 through a directional control valve 12. Said directional control valve 12 is driven and controlled by a control circuit 13 which is fed with the data input of the car speed and the position of pistons. Therefore, when the car speed is at the lowest the knuckle arm 9 is at the longest, and as the car speed increases the length of the knuckle arm is shortened gradually. 5 indicates a side rod.
