Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an electric D/A converter and give to the reproduced acoustic wave the same directivity as a conventional speaker, by directly driving the speaker with a PCM audio signal through the provision of a D/A converting function. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm plane 1 is acoustically drives with a plurality of diaphragms S1-S5 located concentrically. That is, they are individually driven with each bit signal of a diaphragm PCM signal source. Thus, the sound pressure due to the displacement of the diaphragms are added and synthesized at the space in front of the diaphragm plane 1 and in the space, the acoustic waves proportional to the sampling value of the original audio signal.
