Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the brake distance by holding constant the brake pressure by means of generation of a slip signal and an acceleration signal and raising the brake pressure slowly when the slip signal is out.
CONSTITUTION: A brake control signal generator 11 composed of OFF delay timers 20, 25 and an ON delay timer 22 is provided in an antiskid control circuit of conventional type composed of a slip signal generator 4 and No.1 acceleration signal generator 7. Raising of the brake pressure will energize and exhaust valve and a shutoff valve solenoids 13, 17 in accordance with the signal from a deceleration generator 6, and the brake pressure, on the contrary, drops to generate the slip signal and No.1 acceleration signal; thus the solenoid 13 will be nonenergized and brake pressure become constant. The brake pressure rises slowly thereafter by repeating rise and remaining constant through extinction of the slip signal and operation of the ONN and OF delay timers 25, 22, and thus the brake pressure can be held at the optimum value.
