Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the jammed transfer paper just by shifting a charger to the shunting position, by securing a shift of the charger between the working position and the shunting position. CONSTITUTION:An automatic charge guide 11 is shifted between the working position and the shunting position in response to the opening/closing of a front cover 18. The guide 11 is supported by a side plate and a guide rail 16 when the cover 18 is closed, and the transcribing and separating chargers 2 and 3 are held at the working position to a photosensitive drum 1. Then the cover 18 is turned toward an arrow B, and as a result the rail 16 touches a bottom plate 19 through the lower face as shown by the chain lines. Accordingly the guide 11 turns by its empty weight round a pin 14, and the chargers 2 and 3 move to the shunting position apart from the surface of the drum 1 as shown by the chain lines. Thus a large space is formed to facilitate the easy extraction of a jammed transfer paper.
