Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep plasma always ready for ignition, as of a plasma generating device intended for an incinerator deodorizing unit, by constructing a system whereby the plasma light sensing signals make the contact rod touch or separate from the plasma generating electrode. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric element 4 senses the light of plasma P to feed it to a control circuit 5. This control circuit 5, on receipt of signals from the photoelectric element 4, disappearance signals of plasma P, for example, instructs the driving unit 7 to advance the tungsten rod 6. With this, the tungsten rod 6 advances to come in contact with the electrode 3 to cause arcing between them. With this as a trigger, the electrode 3 generates the plasma P. When the plasma P is sensed, the tungsten rod 6 is retreated via the driving unit 7. Repetition of this process enables constant generation of plasma.
